Chasing Dreams: Why It’s So Hard, and Why That’s Exactly the Point

ree

We all have dreams.

Some are bold and loud, write a book, run a marathon, start a business, change the world. Others whisper quietly, peace of mind, confidence, freedom, healing. But if chasing dreams were easy, we’d all have ticked them off by now. We’d all be living in our dream homes, doing our dream jobs, surrounded by a dream version of ourselves.

But here’s the truth: dreams are hard, and that’s what makes them dreams.

If dreams were simple, they’d be goals. If they were comfortable, they’d be habits. If they didn’t challenge us, they wouldn’t matter.

The Grind Behind the Dream

The road to your dream isn’t straight. It’s bumpy, unpredictable, and sometimes painfully slow. Along the way, you’ll encounter:

  • Hard work that demands more than you thought you had

  • Doubt that creeps in when progress is quiet

  • Challenges that stretch your resilience

  • Disappointments that test your commitment

  • Tiny wins that spark just enough belief to keep going

And through it all, you’ll find something powerful: hope.

Hope isn’t naive. It’s fuel. It’s the quiet voice that says, “Try again tomorrow.” It’s the reminder that effort counts, even when the results haven’t shown up yet.

Dreams Require More Than Desire, They Require Action and Sacrifice

It’s not enough to want the dream. You have to work for it.

That means showing up even when it’s hard. Making sacrifices that others might not see. Choosing long-term vision over short-term comfort. Turning wishful thinking into deliberate, consistent action.

Dreams are built, not granted.

And building them requires time, energy, and the courage to keep going, even when it feels like you’re getting nowhere.

A Personal Note…

This blog was inspired by my own dream:

To one day own a dream equestrian property, a place that reflects not just what I do, but who I am.

Some days, that dream feels too far away. Too big. Too impossible.

But then I remind myself: nothing is too big if you apply your mind and put it into action.

Every step I take, every sacrifice, every hour, every challenge, brings me one inch closer.

Your dream might look different, but the truth remains the same: if you want it badly enough, and you’re willing to do the work, you can create it. It is POSSIBLE.

How I Can Help Your Dream Come True

My mission is to help you connect to the version of yourself who believes again, the one who dares to dream and is ready to act on it.

Whether your dream is healing from trauma, building confidence, finding direction, or starting something new, I support you through:

  • Therapeutic coaching and Therapy that creates clarity and emotional strength

  • Tools and strategies to help you manage doubt, build resilience, and stay focused

  • Space to explore your “why”, so your dream has meaning, depth, and purpose

  • Accountability when things get tough, because they will, and you’re not alone

Dreams aren’t just achieved, they’re grown into.

Together, we can help you step into the version of yourself who’s ready to go after what you truly want.

Why Is Your Dream So Important?

Because it matters to you.

It doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else. It doesn’t need validation. If your dream stirs something in your soul, that’s all the proof you need that it’s worth pursuing.

So ask yourself:

  • Why do I want this?

  • What will it mean if I get there?

  • Who will I become in the process?

And then, no matter how hard it gets, keep going. Because when you want something badly enough, you will find a way. You’ll fail forward. You’ll rise. You’ll learn. You’ll grow.

And one day, you’ll look back and realise, you didn’t just chase the dream.

You became it.

I help you bridge the gap between the life you have and the dream you’re building.

You bring the vision. I help you make it real.

Stay motivated. Take action. Make the sacrifice. You’re already on your way.
